Where can I pick up my Vandàlic Van?

Vandàlic Van works exclusively online. We do not have any premises or physical space. That’s why we offer a place in Barcelona for pick up / return at no extra cost and included in the rental price.

Apart from the free delivery/return point, we offer home delivery/return service. The rates are as follows for Barcelona City:

  • Home delivery or return: 15€
  • Home and return delivery: 30€

Outside Barcelona city we offer deliveries to:

  • Barcelona Airport Josep Tarradellas: Delivery or Return 45€ / Delivery and Return 90€.
  • Girona, Tarragona or Lleida Airport: Delivery or Return 90€ / Delivery and Return 180€.

Where to find us?

We work exclusively on the Internet and therefore we do not have a space or physical location where we receive clients. You can use all the channels we offer on our website to contact us and resolve any questions you may have.

Can I see a van before renting it??

In our website you will find all the details of our vans, with photographs, characteristics, etc. Anyway, if you want to see any of our vans, you can make an appointment in advance at our free collection / return point. You can do this through any of the customer service channels we offer. We will be happy to show you our vans!

How can I make a reservation?

You can make your reservation through our website, filling in the form and following all the steps. To confirm the reservation, you will have to make a payment of 50% of the total amount. The remaining 50% will be paid by credit or debit card at the time of collection of the Camper. Payment can also be made in cash (please bring the exact amount). If you want to make a reservation for less than two nights, for the same day or for the next day, you will have to contact us by e-mail info@vandalicvan.com or by calling +34 648 63 05 12.

 

Do I have to pay a deposit? What insurance options are there?

At the moment of picking up the van, a deposit must be paid by credit card (you must make sure that the credit limit of the card allows you to pay the required amount. This deposit is not charged, it is only blocked), which will depend on the type of insurance contracted. This deposit will be automatically unblocked at the end of the rental contract if no accident or damage has been caused by misuse or negligence both inside and outside the van.

BASIC insurance: is included in the rental price. It has no additional cost. The deposit to be paid is 600 euros.

PLUS insurance: it costs 20 euros / night. Unlimited additional drivers. The deposit to be paid is only 300 euros.

Where can I drive?

You can drive in all those countries that appear in the Green Card. These are the countries where the vehicle insurance covers.

What documentation do I need to rent a Camper?

Once the reservation has been made and confirmed, you must send a copy of your valid ID card and driving licence to the e-mail address we will provide you with. On the day of collection of the van, you must bring the original documentation, as well as a credit card to block the deposit.

What requirements must I meet in order to rent a Camper from Vandàlic Van?

You must be 25 years or older when you pick up the van and 2 years or older on your driver’s license.

What does the rent include?

In all the rentals you will have included the Vandàlic Van Pack: crockery, kitchen utensils, table, chairs, bed linen, NO isofix baby chair (if requested), kitchen with cartridges (2unitats) or bottle (1unit) depending on the model, awning, cleaning kit (dishwashing soap, cloth, scourer, toilet paper, rubbish bags) and 30m external current extension (if requested). It also includes the BASIC all-risk insurance with an excess of 600 euros and 24/7 assistance during the whole trip.

Is there a minimum number of nights to rent?

To Vandàlic Van we apply rent per night, not per day. The minimum number of nights in low, medium and high season is two nights. In Special season (August), the minimum is six nights.

What should I do in the event of a breakdown?

All our Camper Van are covered by an all-risk insurance that includes road assistance in all countries included in the Green Card. In the event of a breakdown or if any emergency light and/or warning light on the control panel comes on, you will need to contact Vandàlic Van immediately by phone +34 648 63 05 12. We will tell you the steps to follow and give you all the support you need at all times.

Are pets allowed?

We do allow pets, but only in specific vehicles and always according to their availability. We also ask for care with the furniture, sofas and beds. When returning the van we will check for hair and odour. Vandàlic Van will not be responsible for any possible sanctions derived from not taking your friend in the necessary conditions. As a general rule they will be accepted:

  • SARAGATA: 1 small or medium sized animal.
  • KOLHOZ: 2 small animals or 1 medium animal or 1 large animal.
  • BULLANGA: 1 large animal or 2 medium animals.
Is it allowed to smoke or light candles inside the vans?

No. It is completely forbidden to light candles or smoke inside the vehicles.

What are the pick-up/drop-off times?

The “Standard” times included in the price of the reservation are as follows:

  • Pick up from 4pm to 8pm
  • Return until 6pm

If you want to extend these hours, you can hire the Advanced Delivery (from 9am to 4pm) for 25 euros; the Late Return (from 6pm to 10pm) for 25 euros; or the Night Return (from 10pm to 12pm) for 45 euros at the time of booking.

In what state should I return the van?

The van must be returned with the same level of gasoline as it was at the time of delivery. The waste water tank must be emptied, as well as the portable toilet if it has been rented. In the case of not returning the vehicle in the same condition as it was delivered to you, the following additional charges will apply: no exterior cleaning: 30€. Without interior cleaning: 40€. Tobacco smell: 150€. Stains on the upholstery: 50€. Using chemical toilet and returning it dirty: 70€. Smell or pet hairs: 100€. If you wish, you can hire the full cleaning service, worth 50€, which you will find in the “Services” section. This service must be contracted and paid for at the time of booking and does not include crockery or kitchen utensils.

Don’t panic! We understand that returning the van impeccably clean is complicated. We only ask you to return it as you would like to find it. After each rental we check the inside and outside of the van and disinfect it with ozone. The above prices apply only in serious and blatant cases.

What does the delivery of the Camper consist of?

At the moment of handing over your Camper, the person in charge will show you in detail all the characteristics of your van, as well as everything you need to enjoy a vacation without complications and will hand over the set of keys. In addition, all our vans have a user manual where you can consult, at any time, all the doubts about the operation of the vehicle that may arise. If you still have any questions, you can call our customer service line during office hours (10am to 5pm) or send a WhatsApp message outside office hours.

Can I cancel the reservation?

In case you decide to cancel your reservation, which we hope not, the following fees will apply:
 
– If you notify us within 30 days of the start of the rental, 100% of the amount paid will be paid.
 
– If you communicate between 30 and 16 days before the start of the rental, 50% of the amount paid will be paid.
 
– If you communicate less than 16 days before the start of the rental, no refund will be made.
 
We remind you, however, that it is possible to change the rental dates only once. To be valid, you must give at least 25 days notice of the change. The new chosen date must be informed at the time of the change and it must be within 12 months from the first day of the original rental. This service will be subject to availability of the vehicle for the new date selected.
